The Arab Iron and Steel Union, in cooperation with Ezz Steel, has launched the second program in its series of specialized training courses, titled "Meltshop Concept and Philosophy". The program runs from 16 to 27 November 2025, with the participation of technical personnel from member companies, including Emsteel, Qatar Steel, FOULATH – Bahrain, Libyan Iron and Steel Company, EL-FOULADH – Tunisia, and Maghreb Steel. These programs come as part of the Union's strategy to enhance the technical and operational capabilities of workers in the Arab iron and steel industry through training courses held at Ezz Steel's facilities in Egypt. The courses cover key strategic topics such as direct reduction technologies, meltshop concepts, long and flat rolling operations, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic applications in steelmaking. This program represents the second phase of a broader series of training initiatives carried out jointly by the Union and Ezz Steel, with additional specialized programs planned for the future.
